Get Paid to Blog

If you are a blogger, you can get paid to blog. (If you don't have a blog, here are some reasons to start a blog.) Pay Per Post is one of the companies that will pay you for reviewing websites and products on your blog. Your blog has to be more than three months old, with a certain amount of traffic, and you have to have more than 20 posts when you start. There are more details available if you sign up. Depending on your page rank when you begin, you can make anywhere from $5 a post to hundreds of dollars per post.

Someone once asked if a post was worth $5. YES! First of all, some days you don't have anything to write about and it gives you some material. Second, it is $5 I did not have to begin with doing something I do anyway- post on my blog! And those $5 posts add up, plus there are many opportunities to get higher paid posts, even at the beginning! The first post you do for Pay Per Post is a $25 post about being a "postie". You get paid after the post has been approved and on your site for 30 days. It is simple and some quick cash for having a blog- which is free or almost free!

Hi, Betsy. I am on the fence about PayPerPost. Do you find it influences what you write? In other words, I don't want my blog to become just another advertising venue. Are you able to match opportunities with what you REALLY want to provide to your readers? Let me know how it is working for you!

Actually Rebekah is the one that is doing it. She gave me the idea. Here is what she said...
I only write for the ones I think fit with my blog. I read the requirements carefully and if I don't like it, I pass. There is no requirement for how many or what you write on. Since I am with a company that does travel, I will not write for a hotel reservation company. Since my blog is a mom blog, I will not write about something that is not family friendly. Since I also write blog post for affiliates, I think it is about the same as that. The higher Alexa and page rank you have, the more opportunities you have to choose. Right now, I am low, so I only do a post every few weeks. One week I got two and that was amazing! I use it as a tool for a post topic when I have nothing to write about too. In my opinion, a few bucks here and there for some "promo" type work, then who cares. It is required that you don't have more than two paid posts per day and they cannot be right next to each other, so you have to have a good balance anyway.
